Had the new E-Class for a few weeks now. The ride really surprised me - super smooth, especially on bad roads and when you hit the motorway it's quiet, just sort of glides along. I went for the E300e PHEV to keep commuting costs down, but you won't get that full 70 miles on electric in real life, more like 45-50. That's still decent for my work runs. Only thing I’m not wild about is the brakes. They can be kind of twitchy - takes a bit more effort to stop smoothly, especially in city traffic. Otherwise, for long hauls and daily comfort, tough to beat. Price is up there though, and you notice it compared to BMW and Audi.

I just spent some days with the new E-Class, and honestly, I got mixed feelings about it. The tech stuff, it’s everywhere and really obvious. The screens, the lights, the inside just screams flashy, which isn’t exactly my thing. The E200 AMG Premium Line Plus was a letdown in terms of power, it just doesn’t have a kick to it and the ride felt a bit rough for a car that’s supposed to be about comfort. Plus, that lowered suspension actually made the car less comfy on bumps and potholes. It’s fine on a smooth road but not great otherwise. If you want something simple, this tech overload might be too much. Interior space is solid though, and running costs didn’t scare me. If only the drive felt a bit more sorted.

I’ve driven older E-Class models and this one is definitely different. The look is sleeker, which I like, but honestly all the screens inside kind of take the fun out of driving for me. The car’s super quiet though, even at high speeds, and everything feels put together well. Wasn’t blown away by the trunk space. Maintenance costs are pretty much what you’d expect on a Mercedes - not low. Haven’t had major issues, so seems reliable enough so far.

I'll be real, the E-Class feels built for just cruising on long road trips or for commuting where comfort is all you care about. The ride is super quiet, seats are soft, and you barely notice bumps (unless you skipped the extra air suspension). For me the spongy brakes take some getting used to, especially compared to a BMW which feels much sharper. Tech-wise, I got a bit lost - too many screens, too many menus. I just want to drive, not manage some spaceship cockpit. But for chilling out, it's hard to beat. Oh yeah, skip the four-cylinder if you care about engine sound, it gets pretty gruff when you push it.

I like the tech on this E-Class Coupe more than I expected. The parking assist with the 360 view takes a lot of stress out of tight spots, especially when you’re in a busy lot and people keep walking behind the car. Blind spot monitoring + distance assist are also nice when you’re doing a lot of city traffic. It cuts down on the constant checking and second guessing.

The voice assistant is handy for media and basic stuff, but I still catch myself just using the controls because voice systems can be a bit hit or miss depending on noise in the cabin.

Driving-wise it’s easy. It holds a lane well and the gearbox adapts without drama. I’d call it smooth more than sporty, even if it looks sporty.

E-Class is comfy for sure, got decent seat adjustment. Use it mostly for city and airport runs. I wish the climate controls weren't buried in the touchscreen, I liked the old buttons better, quicker to use while driving. Fuel economy's average, nothing crazy. Haven’t had breakdowns yet, so I guess it holds up. Chassis is planted, feels confident in corners. Not thrilled with the price vs what you get, options are pricey. But it rides nice, can’t complain there.
